Theme: Democracy

Power of a Common Man

Common people
Of the vibrant country,
Being a democratic asset
Have the Midas touch
That can empower
Even an ordinary man
To overthrow tooth and nail
The heavy political stalwarts
With absolute power
Indulged in murky corruptions
Thriving stubbornly
In the corridors of democracy.

A common man
Can't be pushed off to the edge
Nor his ordinary power
Ever to be underestimated,
For his right to vote
For or against
Finding an echo in unison
With those of the commoners
Can work wonders
For pulling the clinging rug out
Under incumbents' dirty feet
With a shameful historic debacle
Of even the might in power!

Comment History is witness to the fact that whenever the common man has found the call of His heart or Conscience and has truly fought in unison for a common cause then the mightiest Empire had to bow down or surrender. The Sun of mighty Britishers set in India when the mutiny of 1857 finally culminated in the INDEPENDENCE on August 1947.

When AAP party succeeds in waking up the conscience of Delhiites and emerges to be the second largest party just in one year of formation..

So I trully accept this POWER of COMMON MAN and urge people to bring about systemic changes such that we realise the dream of true Freedom and Swaraj.
