Theme: Perception

Equality

All people
Are born
In the same
Way.
And of course
They will die
In the same
Way.
Then tell me…
Is it not enough
To take it that
All people
Are Equal?

Comment This one reminds me of one of the many Kabir Dohas I learnt as a primary school student:

Aye hain so jayenge raja, rank, fakeer,
Ek sihasan chadhi chale, ek bandhe zanjeer..

You have so beautifully expressed a fact of life in simple yet impactful words, Prof. Sarkunde. Thanks for sharing. Have sent you a mail. When you have the time, pl check it.

Comment Yes, Sir, all people are equal. But due to our inherent ignorance, some walk away or rather are allowed to walk away with the whole cake. I am reminded of your tribute to Namdeo Dhasal. He fought to change the equation. But the topsy-turvy equation survives such bold attempts and perpetuates itself in one form or another. Thank you for bringing out the truth crisply.
