Women's Day

Do we need a Women’s Day,
To say what we have to say?
If you really do care,
Love her and do share,
The joys that came your way.

Sister, wife, daughter or mother –
Does she really care or bother,
About what you have,
Or what you gave,
As brother, husband, son or father?

All she needs is love and peace,
A life of some freedom and ease.
Your caring look,
From any nook,
Will her confidence level increase.

First give women their place.
Respect their ayes and nays.
Understand their needs.
Appreciate their deeds.
To make all days Women’s Days.

Don' t consider her as meek or weak and be under the wrong impression that you can anytime easily seek ...love her genuinely and she will make your life beautiful evenly ..... Your poem Padmaja is real tribute to women ...loved it ...

In this meek world of acquiring
Nothing is given
It has to be taken...
Either by protest
Or through a revolt
Cause…
Basic attitudes
Are difficult to change
Hence enforcement…
Yet times is a must…

You are right Padmaja-ji. There is no Men's Day (if I am rightly informed). Then why a special day for women when it is granted that both sexes are equal? My grown up woman daughter gives me a slapping answer: "Because men are not smart enough to make a day for themselves." She is right and as a man I like the answer. So, dear women, please make our day, always. Promise, we will be nice to you. BTW, day or no day, all women like Valentines Day. Why so?
