Theme: Inspiration

Seeking Happiness

Helen Keller* once said -
When one door of happiness closes
Another door opens but too often
We are so busy eyeing the closed door
That we are unable see the one
Which has now opened for us.

It's true of human relationships...
Many of us are so deeply attached
And often obsessed with our past
That we close our mind to
New opportunities and relations and
In the process miss present and future.

(*An American who became blind and deaf at an early age but her zeal and brave efforts to overcome her disabilities made her a successful author, lecturer, political activist and motivational leader in life.)

Comment Thank you so much, Nathmal ji, for your very candid and lively review. Actually human brain is very complex. Many of us know futility of things yet we are unable to detach self to look forward in life, and sometimes deliberately remain prisoner of out thoughts...

Comment It is old proverb, "If there is a will, there is a way." Jai Ji,You have depicted optimistic and positive attitude
for disappointed persons." Manjilein aur bhee hein",
This attitude provides to think someone that another
door is waiting for you.You do knock it.Those who have persistence to face difficulties may get success
and happiness at last.Helen Keller is a very good and effective example for disappointed persons. You
have showed a new path in this poem to those who have deprived from getting happiness by odd and
fastidious circumstances.Nice views.Having heart
touching reality.A lot of thanks.Thank you very much
for creating a positive attitude,Jaipal Ji.God bless you.
