Pint of Love, Hate, No!

Love or hate an idea,
love a person,
but do not hate.
Too much love, though,
can spoil a person.

Love should be sane,
should not overpower,
not the giver,
nor the object.

Hate may overpower the hater.
That is the pitfall
of hating a person.

Let the hated person
learn his/her own lessons.
You may give him/her love;
but the person may take pounds,
which one may not afford.
