Celebrating Freedom

On the eve of Independence
Let us remember our heroes
Who gave up their lives
In the struggle for freedom.

Of course our nation is free
But we are yet to become free
From evils of poverty, illiteracy
Favouritism and corruption.

So while celebrating our freedom
Let's also do some introspection
To make our humble contribution
Eradicating these evils from nation.
