His Capital

He looks around only to find
People struggling to wriggle out
Of the miseries and pains of life
Caused by friends and foes alike.

Then he glimpses at his own pain
That her love caused now and then
And finds himself so possessive,
Pain in soul has kept body alive.

He knows well, it’s only capital
His accumulated wealth in life
Losing it may render him an orphan
With no other cause to live a life.

For he still nurtures a hope
To see her one last time in life
While his mortal body is still alive
With soul active in space and time.
