If I Was

If I was a nightingale, I would sing by your window To give your ears pleasure! If I was sunshine, I would split to be a rainbow Delighting you beyond measure! If I was a raindrop, I would lie on the leaf of your tree Shining like a diamond in the sun! If I was a daffodil, I would dance non-stop, carefree In your garden being real fun! If I was a floating cloud, I would burst myself into a drizzle, When you are tired of a scorching day! If I was a squirrel, When you would silently grizzle, I would knock your window to make you gay! If I was a white swan, In your pond I would swim through Offering you enormous mirth! If I was a God-sent angel, I would make all your wishes come true, Making you the happiest man on earth!
