Theme: Joy

Unfelt Joy

The incessant fall of rains
Beating against the window glass
Presents a beautiful glimpse
Reflecting its dance
Of natural fall
With great zeal and joy
Tempting me
To be out to play
But the child in me has grown
Into adulthood,
I think of the children
Being drenched
In happier showers
Lest it should catch a cold,
Hence I hold
My kicking kid of heart
All indoors....
Barring the showers
Of natural joy to come inside..!

Comment Thanks Rupradha jee. Agreed with you..!.The stark reality of life owing to the change of mindset of modern people who are getting bereft of the natural things of life and spontaneous joy. is what has been attempted here..with a bit if veiled satire and irony whrein lies the essence of the poem..
