Wouldn't it be good
If somehow we could
Escape from this crowd
And elope to a cloud?

Just you and me,
And we'll be
So happy alone,
With nothing to bemoan.

I'll hold you close,
My sweet rose,
And look into your eyes
Till my thirst dies.

Morning I'll greet
Savoring your heartbeat
So close to mine -
I'll be on cloud nine.

I'll make up for the tears,
I'll make up for the years
I've spent without you,
Living a life so blue.
