We Walk Alone

From our birth,
We walk alone
On planet earth;
Bliss we haven't known.

Joy we are seeking
From what's around,
And we are freaking -
It can't be found.

Lonely is our existence,
However much we try -
There's always some distance
Between you and I.

We build bridges
But people leave;
We are left with ridges,
And alone we grieve.

Life is such
A lonely affair,
And there's so much
That we can't share.
