A Mockingbird On A Tree

Behind leaves I see
A mockingbird on a tree,
Happily singing away,
Serenading this day.

Sorrow it hasn't known -
It's so happy alone,
Singing a song,
And making it long.

Moments of time
It's making sublime,
Spreading cheer
To all those near.

I stand still
And have my fill -
With its divine art,
It enchants my heart.

It's also teaching me
To be always happy -
Never moan and groan,
Even when alone.
