Poetry!
Are you lost in the crowds
Alive
Or
Dead
Wrapped in shrouds?

Poetry!
Don't get captured
As a selfie
In the secular mobiles
Of the selfish...

Poetry!
You are not, certainly not
Meant to be gizmos
Or gadgets
To be carried away
Far from the masses.

Poetry!
You are the throb
To keep life pulsating
Elevating a soul
To a higher realm...

Poetry!
You have to come out
Of the glamorous enclosures
Of the riches,
From the certificates
Of excellence,
From the award functions
For the sake
Of universal sensibility.

Poetry!
You are and have been
In the party
Against the stagnation,
Sustaining
The true sentiments
Of the poor and the pauper
Of the mute
And the oppressed
As a strong voice
Of their heart and soul.

Poetry!
Remember! You can never be
Chained or captured...
For you are the focal face
Of the marginalized,
The subaltern,
The downtrodden
Of those, long sidelined.
Be with us forever, for good
For providing soothing shade
To scorched souls
On the earth under the sun.
