Theme: Freedom

Pale Horse

A Pale Horse has cometh
To carry me away
My burdens grown too heavy
To hold up every day

So I place them on the back
Pale Horse holds my load
In icy feeling saddle
And stirrups black and cold

I welcome the relief
That Pale Horse does provide
I mount up to continue on
Taken for a ride

But it's too late for realization
As I sit upon Pale Horse
That I am not alone
And life has run its course

For Pale Horse has a master
Rider supreme
And with him I share the saddle
In scythe blade my past gleams

Why did I decide
To drop my heavy load
For it was all my will to live
Through sustaining it alone

And when my burden lifted
To saddle up above
My life was lifted with it
I had given up

So Pale Horse came to help
Carry it away
And taking me along
To end of my days

Pale Horse cometh
So I hitched a ride
Too late to realize my mistake
By learning that I'd died
