The Abysmal

Fie upon me! my wretched mind
which commit this act unholy.
Unbecoming of my moral,
Unbecoming of my man.
Responsible I am, solely;
for I bring upon me -
scars of misdeeds & wounds of treachery
which imprint on this soul
long after the evil stench
of sin has spilt & gone.

It is like the fallen in the abyss,
who knows no more of day or night
for he condemned for the rest of his life
to suffer in the itch of darkness,
And thus deprived of all light of life !

Just as darkness knows no pity,
all his pleas shall go in vain.
His begs of mercy and pardon & forgiveness
shall only add to his grief and pain.

A gust of cool breeze, by some chance,
kissed by his sore cheeks.
His lips parted in a glimmer of hope;
but soon returned to their forlorn position.
What hope shall I promise ?
Which Gods shall I appease ?
for none dirty their noble hands,
in raising me to their level.
My seeds of ignorance cast long ago
have sprouted evil fruits of wrong action;
these ugly branches of my mind
propagate in search for lust -
lust for the lowly pleasures of life.

Each man, in his own abyss
some shallow, some deep,
but none so dark & so steep
that I lay, verily, the abysmal.

But I shall start this moral journey,
from the bottom of the heap
until I once again perceive my light
of radiating intellect
to glide me to the steady state
of peace that passeth all understanding.
