The Avian Rhapsody

Dawn gleams radiant upon night's retreating shadows,
Bird songs resonate in trees, fields and meadows;
With lusty exuberance they serenade the morn,
To an enthralling ensemble the day is born!

In multi toned cadence magpie robins trill,
The koel's call rises to a crescendo shrill.
Pretty parakeets squawk while on the wing,
Honey-voiced sunbirds twitter and sing.

Mynas chatter, babblers merrily scold,
Clamorous each conference these sisters hold!
The bulbuls chirp and some a tuneful melody whistle,
Music bursts forth from branch, bramble and thistle!

A steady staccato punctuates the mirthful band '
A shy barbet proclaims it is close at hand.
The gorgeous oriole intones a jarring pitch!
The pheasant crow holds sway in a baritone rich!

Crow, pigeon, bee-eater, munia or dove,
Even the shrieking kites that soar high above,
Each, an undisputed star of this wondrous euphony,
This bewitching, beguiling, ethereal symphony!
