Twilight Zone

You never come in my dreams.
Dreams are so untrue.

The time you visit is twilight
before the sleep sets in
when the resident of this realm
between thought and desire
awaits you.

Sleep then takes you away
till you return
with the morning breeze.

Like a yogi in pranayam
I hold you in my being
between deep inhalation
and exhalation -

vitality
to last me till the end of my day.
