Climbing

I have used many steps
to climb up
and down.

Each floor,
a few steps of separation -
top floors,
flights of steps away.

They are just thoughts,
traveling
high and low,
far and out to destinations.

I use no one -
no one uses me.
The floors use me
to level;
I remain on ground.
