I Forgot All

Enter not, it is said,
into an unknown river -
the bank may be steep
and the water, very deep.

But how is it
when I reached
the bank of your smiles,
I forgot all
and slipped into its depth
never again to come up!

How nice it is to be unwise
and win life's ultimate prize!!
