Theme: Teaching

Tell, My Child

Tell, my child...

Taking her closer
asked a kind teacher,
'Tell, my child,
the adjective of mother.'
'Kind, mam', was the quick answer.

Amused, with a chuckle
continued the teacher,
'And of brother?'
'Brave'
'Good, and of sister?'
'Naughty... often she cheats
in the game of hide-and-seek.'

Unable to control her curiosity
the teacher went further,
'of water?'
'Deep, mam. I am so scared.'
'of ice?'
'ice-cream, delicious. Is it not?'

'Perfect, my little one,
and what is adjective of god?'
'Not sure, mam...
Invisible, said once my grandmother.
Am I wrong?'
'No, dear, how can you go wrong?
and thought to herself, 'I see god
in your innocent smile, and your
each answer to me is a song.'
