You are so extraordinary friend!
Some talk behind your back - you think that's bad,
But no - they want to be like you, but can't,
They realize that you are great, so great !.
You do not know yourself how great you are,
You know it not, but really ought to know,
You'r way above the greatest Superstar,
Beyond the glittering stellar sheen and glow.
You are so extraordinary friend, but fret
When nasty and unfriendly people spin
Intrigues, or squawk behind your back a threat.
Why? Because you are so unique and so great !
Lo! - challenges you meet upon your way,
Because you have the power to prevail,
Defeat opponents in their proud array,
And beat the head in of the flouting nail.
Think how the shepherd David, - chap so small,
Beat hughe Goliath, armed up to his teeth
With sling and stones, when hearing the great call
To fight to bring the foe down on his knees.
And Joseph, who for many weeks did sit,
Betrayed by nasty brothers, left to rot
In an abandoned cistern's deepest pit,
And in his helplessness cried out to God.
Who turned the tide, - Vezir the chap became
When traders sold him and behold and lo!
Soon spread his reputation and his fame,
As the right hand man of the great Pharao.
Friend! meet the challenges, though tears may flow,
And your own situation looks so bad,
But tears and watering make the blossoms grow,
You'll overcome, because you'r great so great!
No pal will tell you, and no wakeful Muse,
That you are extraordinary friend !
As child of God, you win and cannot lose,
You are inscribed into the Father'd hands.
So thank the loving father in advance.
