The Love Birds

Sitting comfortably
On the highest branch
Of the tallest tree
They tweeted together
In perfect harmony

When they disappeared
No one heard them croon
They were thought to be
Enjoying wedded bliss
On their honeymoon

All their friends eagerly
Awaited their return
They were truly missing
All the loving tweets
Exchanged between them

But alas that was not to be
Somewhere along the way
The lovers parted company
No one knew until only one
Was heard tweeting alone

While the reasons may
Never be known, everyone
Will remember the tweets
That they created together
For a long time to come
