It Hurts to be Alone

True love is unconditional
It forgives a mistake
But there's a risk when falling in love
A risk in all things fake

Each time one shares a smile
Each time one sheds some tears
One opens oneself up to hurt
And which one secretly fears

Some slowly tread through life
Sidestepping what's not understood
Turn away, that care too much
Too long or those who tightly would

There's never an easy way to love
Or a cautious approach
It does not wait for any arm
Or turn away in reproach

The greatest of all risks is love
The sweetest of all the pains
Love is everywhere in everything
But not a stable refrain

Neither cautious nor sympathetic
It strikes the strongest minds
Unprejudiced and unmerciful
It hurts in the best of times

It hurts to be the other part
Of somone you've loved and known
It hurts to need and to belong
It hurts to be alone

I Miss you dear everyday

Every moment and in every way

You have gone very far away

With you left my happiness and gay

But sure we are not going to fall prey

In the hands of cruel destiny, I pray

God to reunite us some other day

And I believe he never lead us astray

Always I bring to mind the words you say

That “where there is a will, there is a way”

Which boosts my morale and appears a ray

Of hope, soon to ebb away the moments of gray.

Sir, It is indeed a very realistic and true presentation of feelings and thoughts. Unquestionably the poem is a fine commentary on true love and the pangs of loneliness. You have presented a very meaningful and soultouching idea in this poem.
