The list of Devil characters will indeed be endless. However, we should not miss Huxley's point that Evil is gradually overpowering the Holy at an accelerated pace. Yet, optimists like you pen such poems which shows that Holy is inherent in Man's soul and that there is still a chance to belie Huxley and your vision will survive. Go ahead to keep up the right spirit of mankind with your pen as "poetry is more powerful than the missiles" to borrow your words.

What about Mahisasura? And Ravana? Or Duryodhana? What about Ice Age? What about exposure of corrupt practices, generally?

Not necessarily. Aldous Huxley's prediction in early fifties of the 20th Century was-
"History of human civilization is going to be one of victory of Belial over God".
While incarnation of Belial, the Devil character in Bible, proceeded in slow pace since the time of Hitler nay, from the dawn of civilization, it is compounding alarmingly, not necessarily terminated with the elimination of Bin Laden et al. Huxley may prove amazingly prophetic!
