Theme: Imagination

We Hope So...

The voice of verve
That was heard
From far—filled
The empty mind
Waiting—with hope:

The fog disappeared
With the doting-arrival
Of the tiny dot of a ray
Beginning to spread out slowly
And make a day
Bright, sweet and gay!

She was the voice
Preparing for her
Test at school:
Asked me questions in jest
When in my glee
Of hearing her talk so well
I made mistakes
By giving wrong answers
I was told in a lovingly firm voice
To study well!

I am
Away from all
The happiness of watching
Her grow with beauty and grace
That is exuded by her eloquence
In my imagination
And the tenor of a voice
That kindles a dark future

With sparks -  to warm
Our evenings - when the sun
And the moon will seem
To peep into our lives
Like glowworms
And our dreams
Will be decorated with stars
Resting on the yellow
Leaves of our life’s tree.
