Translation dons the mask of death
Masquerading as a ruse of life.
We do not return to the world of the living,
We do not return to the community,
That gave rise to it
But to a sterile valley of ersatz
Where transformations and metaphors
Crawl with Freudian dysfunction
Undermining semantic import.
