She was not aware 
Of the powers she held 
The gift was at her finger tips 
She would sit in the woods 
Study the stars by the hours 
It was a special time for her 
Summers magic in the air 
Magical gift was given to her 
She reached out to 
Touch the skies 
An opalescent orb 
Appeared before her eyes 
It surprised and delighted her 
Not aware, it bore secrets 
Of the universe 
Able to focus 
With clarity 
What was in the stars 
This gave birth to Astrology.
