September 11, 2001

Never in a thousand years would anyone have believed,
The vision's and terror that Tuesday conceived.

Who would have ever planned on not coming home from work that day?
To be at the top of a 110 story building in the worst kind of way?

The officials at the pentagon- so brave- so strong,
What did they do? to deserve this act of wrong?

Innocent lives just flying to their destination,
why did it have to end in SUCH devastation?

Who could ever think of such a tragic end?
the memories in our hearts and souls – we just cannot mend.

Though the soot and dust is clouding our hope,
We, the people of America, are doing our best to cope.

I hope everyone realizes the struggle and pain,
that was caused  by this evil and vain.

My heart and prayer goes out to the USA,
and that we will be strong and overcome the pain of this day.

So everyone in mourning please stand proud and tall,
be proud to be an American...once and for all.

Someday we shall see the glory of the shining sun,
that was clouded and hidden, by September 11, 2001.
