I Wonder

If I was to win a friend what would it take
Would it be with the qualms of my thoughts?
Will it be shot?
I wonder sometimes

What would it be when the Moon shines the brightest
Would it profess my feelings,
Will it protect me in its bosom, covering my nakedness?
I wonder sometimes

What would it be, if the wind blew my thoughts?
Would it spread them across the globe?
Will it carry my message?
I wonder sometimes

What would life be?
If I was still embroiled
I shudder sometimes
I wonder sometimes

What would my sublime state be?
If I was to reach within
Would I find the source to be self?
I wonder sometimes

What would be, if there were momentary pauses?
Will the time still clock, will the date still change
Would we still age?
I wonder sometimes

What would be?
If I was to cry
Will I still be a Man?
I wonder sometimes

What would be, embrace without you
If you were to go away
Will I still feel the warmth?
I wonder sometimes

What would be?
If I were to get angry
Will you understand?
I wonder sometimes

What would be?
If I love you forever
Will you be happy?
I wonder sometimes
