Changing Hearts
Changing our hearts, respect for life it did for mine, engraved , 9/11, its moments, and unexpected escape A fine sunny NY September day Silvery glistening towers a thrilling sight to the landscape and my heart And than in the midst of all While its tranquility and activity intact One nightmare after another Bought many dreams and souls to halt A nightmare so bizarre, Stifled cries, crushed dreams, Swelling hearts, air so thick, An eerie pain in heart I feel the pain I feel the pain To remain for rest of our life For all those souls lost in darkness I feel the pain I feel the pain To mark this century to their memories And in those chaotic moments this amazing grace How sweet 'tis sound That sings, that rains, Like me I was, once lost, but now I am found Was blind, but now, I see... Near and dear ones, forever Moments frozen in time Story of our life's, never over Keep them well and let them chime Vulnerability, fragility of life – Raj Khanna |
