I got intimate with pain
last night.
It was just me and my Pain.
Pain that's mine and mine alone.
I loved it, caressed it. kissed it.
I couldn't have enough of it.
My pain
savored, devoured and relished me.
It wouldn't want to let go of me.
All night long we felt one another
until I merged into my pain
and my pain seeped
into every pore of my skin
until the floodgates of tears opened
and washed us both away.
