O Mother!

Life stirs out of its slumber,
Creation swirls to dance with your rhythm,
When you breathe life into the breeze,
Caress the tresses of the skies,
East turns crimson and the dewdrops blush,
Lending the glint of your eyes,
To the shimmer of the morning sun.

You, the sparkle in the unmanifest,
And the shine in the manifest,
You, the protector,
You, the sustainer,
The destroyer of demons,
The slayer of evil,
You, the refuge of all, the asylum,
For the born and the unborn,
For the slain and the survivor.
The seed rests in you,
And so does the flower,
That nestles in the comfort of your bosom.

All that unfolds from your lap,
Does fold back in to your being.
Let me too rest forever there,
Not blooming and never a fruit,
Always a child,
O, Mother! your child.
