She is Carnal…She is Flesh

A silhouette with proper contours
draped in silk
laden with gold
beautiful, elegant and charming
smear on her forehead
color in the hair parting
sutra around her neck
is that all that is to her?

epitome of love
token of sacrifice
you blind her
and lead her to a pedestal..
she forgets....
she is  carnal
she is flesh
the incarnations inspite.

you seemingly stand low and lure her
into a trap of divinity
she is naive enough
and believes in the honor
little does she know
if she slips she would fall
then exist she might live she would not

she nurtures your pride
inspires your thoughts
you lay a point
she endorses your views
then you say...
she is your indispensable half.
yet
you don't let her grow
and don't let her bloom.
you wish to cast her as one
you seek to love.

She has faith in you
a faith so deep
she never suspects you of it's breach
you walk all over her faith
 so careless
then say --" to err is human""
and so  casually add "to forgive divine"

She neither acts nor reacts
as mutely as always
as silently as ever
stoops to pick up the shattered pieces
and tries to rebuild a pattern
yet once more ... yet once more
yet once more..
