Death of a Poet
(Tribute to Amichhai Ehuda-Israel's National poet)

This morning he passed away ...
He was suffering a lot   ....
We gave him morphine for his last few days ..
So he was without pain - may be was in his own dream land !

I hardly find time to read poems but I found a book by him
On Jerusalem.
Oh -
On' pain' he wrote in his poem ' the diameter of a bomb'
- at least as I understand -
. the circle of pain increases.. and it actually engulfs
the whole system of living being
Who can feel pain ! ... and it continues growing and surviving
Keeping all of them together who are in pain !
But pain for whom?
Is it for the 'self' or for those who just died from 'the bomb'
Or for other reasons?
No clear  answer.
But
The truth is the pain, which is important
To keep us alive to feel with others.
No morphine can cure this and this does not deserve to be cured.

We are fortunate.
