Theme :  Memories
All That Missed is Not Lost
by NS Murty

All things – real and imagined,
All legends – good and great,
All characters – true and invented,
Must,
Did,
And would come to an end ultimately.
Had they not,
Their sheen would have been lost
By their sheer outstay
Making some little incognisible faults
Bloated to blunders.
Besides, it is not nature’s dictum
To permit a thing outlive its term.
Be it an object, an idea,
A thesis, an epochal work,
Or an ambassador of peace,
Just as it surfaces from nowhere
So does it pass into ether at its assigned hour.
The loss embalms our perception of that thing lost.
While the closely associated value of it
Others assess and evaluate objectively,
Its passage into history restores to it
Its worth, its merits, its place and its meaning.
