Theme : Love
October Nights
by Philip G. Bell

On the rain swept streets of London
In the early hours still dark
I walk with just my memories
Of our last walk in Hyde Park

No tourists here at this hour
No commuters left in town
No shoppers or night clubbers
No one else, feeling down

But October Nights in London
Despite the cold and rain
Bring memories of you dear
To help to ease my pain

In my loneliness I see you
Laughing in the Rain
A smile, a laugh, you gave me
As we ran to catch our train

No tourists here at this hour
No commuters left in town
No shoppers or night clubbers
No one else, feeling down

And I shake my head,
And the rain drops shed
And reality, it takes over
And I return home to bed.
