Theme : Immortality
Future
by Ravi Pipal

No ! Please don’t write my name
In golden letters, for
It will simply gather dust
And will be a vulgar way of
Unsuccessfully immortalizing oneself.

Why don’t you understand ?
None could ever be immortal
Merely by writing one’s name
May it be on books, trees or
Monuments.

One has to grow trees
Build monuments and
Write a book -
To come anywhere
Near immortalization.

For being immortal is a
Myth
None could ever be immortal
In this futile world after
Adam and Eve.
