O My Friend!
It has been ages,
countless days and nights,
that often I wonder,
A friendship is what!
Togetherness and belonging
OR
A journey - ethereal and sublime -
of love, longing, absence and loss
through life.

Yet my friend,
A friend I was,
A friend I am,
for once you said,
"Happiness depends on having friends ...
... as wonderful as you!"
A man lives in moments,
I have lived mine.

So my friend,
we meet or not, the journey continues.
The Friend's wish,
May millions of Rajnigandha bloom
and fragrance spread
in your life -
blissful and serene
till eternity.
