A young cat’s waul
Bitter weather supports my pleas
For a shawl
To keep me warm over today’s High Tea

Pawing at the pawl
Because I am meant to be free

A bug culled
Weaving their tongues to snare me
The smiling fall
When they snatch away the keys

A young cat’s waul
Bitter weather supports my pleas
Such guarded walls
The British, the Queens, and me
