Theme : Critique
Pointless Postmodernity
by Dr. Satish Kumar Shukla

I am such bored
This bombardment of
Our finer sensibilities
By banalities' barrages
Day in, day out.

Oh! Are we civilized humans
Or some nether acumens?
Those that lead
Those that follow
Blind, the sheep!

How come?
Who rules the Zeitgeist?
Information is of constant crime-ing
Society is of piggish striving
Snouts in war and woes' mucks
Mornings disgraced
Evenings marred
Breaths but count of fear and fright
Hopeless living
Despair and despondency, disease
Nauseating the 'free' human world's lay.

A tiny elite bit in foray
World wide the hydra budding
Forth its poisonous array
Humans' sky now overcast
For an age
With debasing cloud
Human Endeavour comes
Wrapped in this terrible shroud.

Is there release?
The hope, the prospect?
The try?
Which the hand
At redeeming essay?
Or is it the wait
For the next Avatar?

Boring, so boring
This living trite!
