The blood and smears will fade
The din of protest marches,
The diatribe, the tirade,
Will be smothered
In the uproar
Of fresh bytes.
The heroes and martyrs will be consigned to memories.
The cricketers and film stars
Will be reinstated as the eternal Icons.
The netas will crawl out of the woodwork
And resume feeding on
'We the People'.
India will be ready
For yet another round of castration.
And
26/11 will end up becoming
Just another date
With terror.
