Question 965
I have a metal "image" of sun. It looks like sun with rays; only that it is made of metal and it is not a picture. I was wondering if you could tell me where to place it, be it inside or outside of my house and facing which directions, in other words which wall. Also, if it is outside, should it be in the entrance (where I have an image of lord Ganesha) or should it be on the wall facing east so that the sun shines on it,( although it would be my east wall of the home.) By the way, I have a house with main door facing north, (if I am standing inside my house and looking out, I would be facing north.) The plot is rectangle with 90 degree angles on four sides. Thank You
– Patel, May 28, 2006

It really doesn't matter. The item has no real effect. But, I would put it in the SE area of the house. That is where Agni energy is. – Michael Borden, July 2, 2006

Question 964
I am planning to buy a house. It is constructed. What should I note to know that it will be a good place to live in. The main entrance is East. Thank you,
– Kavita, May 29, 2006

In general, the influence of a building orientation with proper entrance location is as follows: East: physical comfort and mental peace, South: salvation, redemption, freedom from earthly worries, moksha. (However, south oriented entrance is not the most recommended for householders who favor material prosperity) West: material prosperity (big numbers), North: general prosperity.  Kitchen should be in SE, Master Bedroom in SW, Center of house should be free and clear of walls for Brahmastan, Puja Room in NE. Entrance should be auspiciously located. Toilets need to be off centerlines and out of corners and ideally, not within the geometry of the mandala of the house. That is the basic, but there is much more to consider.  – Michael Borden, July 2, 2006

Question 963
Dear Sir, I had constructed my house (NE facing) about 15 yrs. back & am facing only one problem in it, i.e. relationship with relatives & friends going sour from year to year.
There is only one Vastu Dosha in the house. I had the under ground water tank in SW corner of the house. Is this relationship problem due to this water tank & how to solve this, with out demolishing or re-locating this under ground tank? Pl. advise with remedies & oblige.
Best Regards.
– V.Kumar, May 23, 2006

If your house is facing NE, you are having more than one "Vastu Dosha". Twisted orientation is not advised. Underground tank in the SW is not advised, but it is a secondary location that could be accepted under the circumstances. I advise you to not blame the house. Take personal responsibility for your relationships with relatives. Get some advise from a professional family councilor. When we look outside ourselves for the source of our problems, we loose the chance to grow and become more heart attuned. Vastu buildings are an acknowledgement of Truth, a celebration of the Cosmic Order. We build them and live in them in humility and joy. – Michael Borden, July 2, 2006

Question 962
We have constructed a house which is east face. Also we have to leave the door for entry in toilet which is constructed adjoined to West side wall. Is there any error according to Vastu. please reply.
– Rama Mohana Chari, May 23, 2006

Toilet door should not be facing front door. – Michael Borden, July 2, 2006

Question 961
Dental clinic is located in SE direction, in which direction should my consulting room and operatory be located, and where should my compressor, x-ray machine, fridge and AC be (Is SW direction only good direction), or can I have them in NE direction and compensate that area with a water body. Also where should the main entrance be located, and which are the directions where I can have mirrors placed to increase its ambience...Please suggest some other website for the same...Thanking You in Anticipation...Please let me know if u need any more specific information...
– Dr Kaushal Shah, May 22, 2006

You are a professional. You will understand that this requires professional consultation for a professional answer. I need precise orientations and floor plans in order to advise. Vastu science is just that: a science. It is not a superstition. – Michael Borden, July 2, 2006
