Elixir of Life
Silver strung moments shimmer with joy
One with the cosmos, in abandoned glee.
In Nature's vast scheme, you are a toy
Shed your tight skin and go on a spree.
Oh to be alive, in each little cell
To savor the wind, the rain and the chill;
Forswear your worries, caught in this spell
Inhale well being, live to the fill.
Battered and burdened, in apathy caught -
To die would be sad, to brood more tragic.
All senses alert, drink in the draught,
This is it, here is where, yield to the magic.
