Workshop # 9
The Painter Woman

Oh! Woman! You are the great painter,
Carrying on your shoulder
The precious duty of procreating –
Of bearing and rearing the progeny.
You decide the tones of the world,
The shades of humanity – light and dark,
Making life spiced and purposeful.
You create moods of morality – bright and healthy,
Making society a heaven on earth.
You color the heavens with hues
Of charity and righteousness.
With bold and cheerful strokes
You fold vigor and vibration into the picture.
When life becomes dull and dreary
You show the silver lining back
Of every cloud in the sky.
Your horizons stretch into infinity,
Filling life with hills and dales of wonder,
Exhibiting innovation and exploration.
Your dynamic soul flows
Through your fingers,
Speaking a sensitive, sympathetic language.
You blend pleasantly the prevailing trends
Bringing order out of chaos and chasms,
You brush away all ills and evils
Building unity out of discord and differences.
You embody all that is pure and noble,
The sustaining pulse of the universe,
The sole anchor of distracting temptations,
The beacon light for lost wayfarers,
The morning star, the sign of hope,
The nonchalant, indefatigable spirit,
Perfect and upright, driving out
Decadence and disillusionment.
