Workshop # 11
Conqueror
I am one of thousands
A face in a sea of mourning faces
uprooted, stripped, ravaged, beaten,
But not defeated
Look upon me now
See the ornamental burdens which oppress me
and hold me back
I am not defeated
Look beyond the shackles
I hide not tears
but cache from my enemy
For I am not defeated
My body holds reserves of strength
which will pour out in the lineage
created from my fertile flesh
We are not defeated.
