Imagine
Amitabh sitting on a plethora of knowledge and throttling the guy at the
other end, on the 'hot seat' with sizeable questions on Indian History,
Politics, Sports, Culture, Entertainment and World Events, to finally
decide whether he fits the bill for 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' -
Dwitiya (II).
And the prize money is 2 Crores ! I would love to be throttled like that
for being fortunate to win this lumpsum fortune, provided Ma Saraswati is
with me, and I know all the answers to the questions. Then Ma Lakshmi
would have bestowed her true charm on me and I would have felt so blessed
with the prize money.
Readers, if by this time, you are wondering whether I am writing all crap
and everything irrelevant to the theme of this workshop...Think Again !
As beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, the workshop is worked at by
the mind of the writer..!
I had been viewing this workshop picture for quite some time, and nothing
came up in my mind...probably some beautiful flowers and green foliage
would have inspired me to write some decent poetry on nature in its
bounty...
The only faint thought that had conjured up on seeing the monkey, was of
apes being our ancestors !
But very recently, Amitabh Bachchan came back to the 'idiot box', fishing
for would-be Crorepati geniuses amongst the Indian masses...and
Pronto !
When I looked again at this workshop sculpture, my mind no longer remained
the blank slate it was, instead a caricature carved out: of the Ape
impersonating Amitabh Bachchan in a thoughtful mood with his chin cradled
in his palm, the human skull representing The KBC Contender being
scrutinized by AB, and the pile of books - the varied resource from which
all the KBC II questions are selected for this 9 'o' clock weekend event
every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.
And so one last wish, before I finally wind up on this workshop entry of
mine, How I Wish the prize money was A 2 Crore Give-away...Rajender, Are
You Listening ?!
