By The Sea

This is where the
grey-blue skies
merge with aquamarine waters.
Waves frolic with winds –
land on shores to mingle with sands.
This is where a quiet ocean mirrors
drifting clouds – a clear sky reflects
wavy turbulence. The highs immerse in depths;
the two remain hinged even when distanced.
I bring you here, my son, to make you
understand the expanse of our love.
It extends beyond the span of my embrace
like this sea surging with exuberance.
Here I beckon you to strive for your horizon.
