Philip G Bell

Redbourn,United Kingdom

Born in West London in 1948, I received a Grammar School Education and subsequently qualified at college in Product Design. I very soon took a career change specializing in the study of vibration and acoustics and the effects on structures and personnel. I was awarded a Fellowship of the Society of Environmental Engineers.

Married with 3 grown up children, I have written a number of technical papers which were published internationally, before turning attention to writing poetry, short stories and a children's novel. I enjoy writing in a wide range of genres, but particularly enjoy writing for children. I have read poetry on a number of occasions on BBC local radio and actively promote the enjoyment of poetry in young people through The Young Poet Society, a not-for-profit organization that I founded.

His latest book "The Elfin Child" has just been published and is available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble and www.elfinchild.com
