Dr. Gitanjali Goswami Himanka

Dr Gitanjali Goswami Himanka is an independent researcher from Guwahati now based in Sri Lanka. As a researcher she has been involved in various research project Reproductive and Child Health, a Project by Taleem Research Foundation under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Governement of India, 2nd National Leprosy Elimination Project under Indian Institute of Health and Management Research, Jaipur, and sponsored by World Health Organisation and Human Resource in Call Centres of Bangalore, a research conducted by National Institute of Mental Health (NIMHANS) and Department of Psychology, Bangalore Universty which was sponsored by NASSCOM. Dr. Gitanjali was also in charge of administration of Magnum Intergrafika Pvt. Ltd. Chennai. As a guide, she got the President's Guide Award and President's Ranger Award in 1996 and 2000 respectively from the President of India. At present she is based in Sri Lanka and promotes Assamese Culture and Heritage. She is very much involoved In presentations of papers in the Sri Lankan universities to enhance awareness for protection of elephant and preservation of Heritage culture with a special focus on Assamese culture of Sattreya dance as well as idol making heritage Kumartuli Kolkata.
