Finally, She found peace....in prison.
by Vaibhav Pandey Bookmark and Share

She is usually known by a big scary scar on her face. Her husband had never put vermilion on her forehead but had always made sure that her face was never devoid of colour red. Beating her was part of his daily routine and getting beaten hers. Life moved on, nothing changed except the wound marks on her body got bigger and bigger.

One day she found out that she was pregnant. A strange mix of emotions rushed into her racked up body. She was about to experience the greatest feeling a woman could ever have. But could she have nurtured a life in her womb with the degree of torture she faced every day? A question that haunted her for days....

And then she took a decision, some would say she had to. She killed her husband and with it ended the lifetime of suffering.

Her address has changed since then. You will find her in Tihar jail ... satisfied and happy with her 3 year old son.

But a thought still lingers on her mind that one day when her son grows into a man, will he be able to accept her for what she had done!!
